Hi Nugget Pup! I'm @That_Russel_Pup, but you may call me Russel. Welcome to my ABOUT page! It's very self explanitory, this is a page dedicated to things about my channels and I, as well as my passion for art. Without further a due, let's get started.

WHAT IS THIS "CITE"?
To keep it short and simple this "cite" is a website I made to help bring more peope to my fanbase by sharing my art online. "That Russel Pup's Neocity Cite" is the realible website made by your's truly if you want to get to know me better (as a YouTuber) as well as my characters. If you want a place to see my art, read about my charcters or watch sneekpeaks, this is the place to be. As for the name I couldn't really come up with something creative so don't surprised if the name might change one day. "That Russel Pup" is a "name" or a tag I go by to make myself recognizable so calling this place "That Russel Pup's Website" is pretty straight forward. As for the "Neocity Cite" well I chose "Neocity because it's like you've entered a "city" or a tagged catagory (like "art" for example) as a way to reminisce back to the original Geocities. So idk, Neocities, make a "city" make a website in said "city" I think you get it. As for the "Cite" uh, Neocities? Cite? Site? It's site but with a "C" because I want to be different, I mean I literally have 1 "L" in my name what did you expext.
WHY YOUTUBE?
I'm a YouTuber from the United States and I (currently) have 2,030 subscribers as of writing this. But why did I decide to make this channel? As a child I've always wanted to become a YouTuber to create and share my work to the world like the YouTubers I watched do. I became very inspired by people who create things from scratch, animation memes, engneering, stuff like that. For pretty much all my first half of childhood, I made hundreds of comics, stories of characters I loved going through many phases based off video games I played as a kid. However, when I was in Middle School I began shifting away from making comics and learning how to animate because I was obessed with animation and the idea of posting my very own animations on the internet one day. On November 27, 2022, I created my first Youtube channel called "Russel Studios" and posted my very first animation on the internet on December 04, 2022 titled "My First YouTube Video" where I never really knew what my first upload on this platform should be so I simply made this short 09 seconded animation of me saying "hi" to YouTube. Unfortunatly, I felt discouraged and left YouTube, only to rejoin it on December 15, 2022. I only uploaded a few videos and luckily all of those videos are archived on my current channel so don't worry, nothing is lost, it was literally a month gap and I've kept the original files. Even no as I have my channel, I decided to make 2 more channels, Russel N' Wolfy Tunes and my alt channel. I have a strong passion for animations, and although I don't plan to have art as a career to save my sanity, I do want to keep animating full-filling a childhood dream.
WHY NEOCITIES?
I find great nostalgia with Web 1.0, I was never around within the 2000s and especally 90s "Old Internet" era of the internet yet I find it very nostalgic. I don't know why, I just feel at home, like how I felt as a child exploring the internet. About a couple months ago, I discovered more about the old internet from a YouTube Channel by the name of "Debunk File" more specifically this video titled "Exploring The Old Internet" and during the video I discovered this thing called "Geocities", an online web hosting service that was created back in 1994 where people could make their own personalized websites through HTML and CSS and unfortunatly was shut down 2009 (2019 in Japan) when Yahoo bought Geocities. I quickly discovered Neocities when researching Geocities and around this time I already had the idea of making my own personal website dedicated to myself, my art and a whole catalog about my characters (including my avatar, Russel). I quickly became obsessed with the idea of actually making a Neocities and created this website on April 10, 2025 at around 1700 when I came home from school that day. I wanted to make a whole website with catalogs of my Among Us characters, their interests, who they are what they do and just an entire family tree even. Not only that but this would be the perfect place to post my artwork without it being lost in my YouTube community tab, all here in one page where you can see them. It's Perfect! I love Neocities but there is still a LOT I need to do for this place, it's gotten better, but it's still not perfect. However, coding is something that I found to be very confusing and complicated, so I feel very proud of myself for even being able to accomplish so much with this website. I'm so happy ^^
